Looking for an outdoor learning experience that nurtures creativity, curiosity, and confidence at your child’s own pace?
Join our Hares Home Ed Forest School sessions for home educated and flexi-schooled children in the beautiful natural surroundings of Knowlands Wood, Barcombe. These sessions offer a gentle, child-led alternative to classroom learning, where curiosity guides the day, imaginations flourish, and every child grows in their own unique way.
Through hands-on exploration, children will develop practical bushcraft and nature skills, deepening their understanding and confidence each week. From fire lighting and tool use to shelter building and nature crafts, learning unfolds naturally through play, discovery, and collaboration.
Each session follows the rhythm of the group and the changing seasons, encouraging children to:
Follow their own interests and ideas
Develop real-world outdoor and problem-solving skills
Build resilience, teamwork, and independence
Progress at their own pace in a supportive, mixed-age environment
Our small, welcoming groups ensure that every child is seen, supported, and celebrated. Whether they are new to Forest School or already seasoned explorers, children will find space to grow, create, and connect with nature, themselves, and others.
