Little Forest School first took root in 2012, growing from a simple love of nature and outdoor learning into the thriving community it is today. What began as Lucy’s Little Forest School has since blossomed into a shared adventure, rooted in the magical surroundings of Wilderness Woods.

Our team of outdoor-loving facilitators are all Level 3 Forest School leaders, each bringing their own unique gifts - from Montessori and early years education to bushcraft, arts and crafts, and environmental stewardship. Together, we create rich experiences that nurture curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong connection to the natural world.

Little Forest School’s founder, Lucy, began this journey with her Montessori early years background, and planted the seeds of Little Forest School at Stanmer Park and Wilderness Wood. Over the years, she inspired countless children, families, and adults to find wonder and confidence in the woods. Lucy has now settled in Devon with her family, and passed the torch to Daisey to guide the next chapter of our story.

Though our roots are deep, we’re always growing. Guided by the forest, the seasons, and the children who remind us daily of the joy of learning through play, exploration, and imagination.
